How To Get Bad Juju Catalyst

Destiny 2: Season of Opulence's newest feature is the Tribute Hall. Players can enter Calus' giant celebration hall to earn new rewards and unlock Triumphs. Here's a complete list of what you need to do, as well as the rewards Calus offers for your service.

Getting in

Go down to Werner on the Nessus barge. Next to him, you'll find a chest. Pay the 5,000 Glimmer to unlock it and grab a new Invitation from the Emperor.

Head to the Triumph Hall next to the Menagerie. Pick up some bounties from Calus and go complete the easiest one. Note that all of his bounties require you to not die while completing it.

Once you've completed a bounty, you'll get sent back to Calus with a Boon of Opulence in hand. Trade it to the Emperor to get a small discount in his shop. He'll open the door to the Tribute Hall.

First thing? Follow any grey objective squares and place the Tribute statues you've already earned.

The economy

Calus' visage sells Tributes, and you'll need to place 18 if you want the Exotic Bad Juju pulse rifle, and 45 if you want its Catalyst. To reduce the price of the Tributes, you'll need to complete bounties for Calus to earn Boons of Opulence. For each Boon you turn in, you'll get a 1% discount for Calus' Tributes. This effect stacks up to 80%.

All of these bounties require you to play without deaths. If you die holding a bounty, the progress will reset to 0%. Keep it cautious. You can only earn five Boons of Opulence a day — four on you main character and another if you have a alternative character. If you do all five Boons a day, you'll need 16 days to reach 80%.

Triumph Tributes

Bungie via Polygon

There are two different kinds of Tributes in the Tribute Hall: statues and firing range dummies.

The golden statues come from your Triumph menu. To navigate to the menu, open Triumphs, Destinations, Minor, The Tribute Hall. Here, you can complete objectives around the solar system using Calus themed armor and weapons.

The game considers anything from Menagerie, Leviathan, Eater of Worlds, Spire of Stars, or Crown of Sorrow to be Calus themed. Calus themed Exotics give bonus points if you have one equipped. The Calus themed Exotics are Bad Juju, Legend of Acrius, and Tarrabah.

Here's a full list of the Triumph Tributes:

Calus' Tributes

Bungie via Polygon

Calus' Tributes are very expensive. When you only have a small discount, the prices are usually over 100 planetary materials and 10,000+ Glimmer. Be patient and get that discount up before you waste all your materials.

The Calus tributes work a bit differently than the gold statues. Instead, they simulate an enemy type in the Tribute Hall. It stands perfectly still, and spawns infinitely when killed. As you buy more tributes, you can create a shooting range to test weapons and Supers on different enemy types. Note that killing these enemies won't count toward any quests or bounties you have.

Here are the Tributes you can buy from Calus. You can only buy them in order.

Rewards

For completing your Tribute Hall, you'll get a few rewards in addition to owning your own gun range.

When you place 45 Tributes, you can buy the Bad Juju Catalyst for seven Legendary Shards. The Catalyst adds a new perk that extends the duration of String of Curses, giving you some grace time to get another kill.

At 50 Tributes, you earn the X Marks the Spot Exotic emote.

When you max out the Calus discount to 80%, you earn a emblem.
